School Holiday fun – Wildcraft Camp Dungog 10-11-12 April 2017, Melbourne September 2017

Upcoming Wildcraft School Holiday Camps :

About Wildcraft Kids Camps:

Children (4-14 years old) are immersed in the wild from 9am-3pm in the care of our guides who provide a different set of nature-based activities each day.
The children can come for  one, two or all days.
We provide activities and care for the children during the day. As the Wildcraft Camps are held at beautiful riverside campgrounds (click for course location details), it is a great opportunity for families to have a camping holiday or stay in nearby accommodation, allowing for a wonderful wild time for the whole family. Both locations have cabins also.

Each day is filled with fun, games, walks, bush skills and hands-on outdoor activities. Parents/Guardians may join in as they wish. Besides being an enjoyable day out, our programs give children an opportunity to connect to their environment and build self-reliance, confidence, teamwork skills, physical abilities and learn some new and interesting skills. Safety is our focus and we aim to provide all those who attend with a worthwhile experience.

Children do need to bring morning tea and lunch. If you would like this to be provided, please ask about our options.

Suggested age group 4 – 14 years old:

We usually suggest age 4 at the youngest, this can depend on the child. The groups usually are mixed ages, some little ones may have shorter attention spans or limited dexterity so it is good for them to have the option to do their own thing with their parent. Sometimes we have a 2 or 3 yr old child who have an older sibling participating, and with their parent on hand, they join in with some of the activities and then take a break and play in the bush until something else seems good for them to join in again. Under 4’s definitely need a parent/carer with them.

We have also had 17 year olds joining in after they saw how much fun their younger siblings were having. It’s really up to the kids.

Under 4 or over 14?
Apart from the above comments, we usually suggest 15+ come to an adults course such as Wild 101 .
Another option for toddlers is organising a group: for eg.  we will visit preschools, playgroups or your organised group and do some suitable activities there.

We have our own group, can we organise a Wildcraft camp for another time?

Yes, absolutely! We run courses for home schools, extended family groups and anyone who can get minimum of ten children together. Please contact us for details.

Comments from previous camps :

Awesome” 7 year old girl.

Loved every bit of the 3 days and will take home some valuable skills. (My son) was already teaching his dad how to respect nature at the end of the day. He can’t wait to come back!” Father of a 6 year old.

My son came home and took us on a bush walk to find bush food – so excellent!” Mother of a 6 year old.
