Due to the popularity of this course, we have used up all of our recycled materials. Once we can source more materials we can run this course again. So sit tight and send us an email if you’d be interested in the future.

Spend a  weekend in the bush,  hand crafting your very own knife including shaping your blade from scrap metal, shaping  a timber handle, assembling the knife and then sharpening the blade.

The knife will be simple and strong, and easy to sharpen in the field.

The shape and style is good for bush crafts, wood carving, skinning and general outdoor adventure, and we have also found them to be great in the kitchen!

This is a weekend workshop with bush camping on Saturday night (and can arrive early and camp Friday night too) in a basic but comfortable camping area (camping fee included in price, bring your own camping equipment or campervan etc – or let us know if you need anything). Bush-themed morning tea is provided on Saturday and Sunday. Bring all your own food for main meals.

Sam, your tutor, is a skilled craftsman, though he’d never say that himself. He will gently guide you to create not only a strong knife, but also a beautiful one.

Numbers are limited so book now to secure your place.
